Argh. That last entry was supposed to have more text above it... grr.

It said:

I've already had some discussions regarding this via Twitter (with people who aren't even going to be invited), but I'm curious to see your opinions...

We've hit the dilemma with the wedding planning that the amount of people we would like to have present at our wedding, and the amount of people we can afford to feed dinner are completely different. Catering costs a small fortune. We're hoping we might get some help from our families, but we aren't really counting on it at this point...

The alternative I came up with was to have an early afternoon ceremony, have a gap for formal pictures and such, and then have a reception starting in the early evening (6-7pm) where we provide appetizer-type things, dessert and drinks. The answers I received on Twitter were... varied, to say the least.

thanks!

Thank you to everyone who participated in my poll and discussion today. Obviously this stuff is just me brainstorming out loud and asking for feedback, and virtually nothing is set in stone at this point, except for a few small details.

Thanks to you all, though, I have more ideas to run past Ian and get his opinion on. There were a few suggestions I hadn't even thought of in there, so it totally helped. Thanks!
