I'm going to start doing a weekly update wherein I report on what I did the previous week, and pick a few goals to specifically work on in the upcoming week. So, for week one, I worked on the following:
3. Take my pills every day for 6 months straight and keep a record of it (1/180 - started 04/11/2011) - I've been taking them prior to this, of course, but I'm just starting to track it today)
5. Exercise for a minimum of 10 minutes three times per week for three months (1/12 completed)
11. Walk a total of 250km during the 1001 days (2.66/250 completed)
39. Get the house completely cleaned and organized by my 35th birthday (April 29, 2011) (made some progress this past weekend)
43. Join one of the New Westminster concert bands (I've emailed them to get started on this)
50. learn to sing a song in a different language (working on learning móðir mín í kví kví aka the Icelandic dead baby song)
69. get one character of each class in WoW to level 85 (faction unimportant) (4/10 complete, but I have 9/10 at 80)
73. Eat at five new restaurants (1/5 - French Quarter Pub on 04/09/2011)
86. Plant and grow a container garden on my balcony containing at least 6 herbs, and
successfully harvest at least one large handful of herb from each plant (have the 6
herbs planted
92. donate blood (and thereby find out my blood type) (I'm ineligible for donation,
therefore I've ordered a blood typing kit online to find out instead)
In the next week I plan to work on these goals (in addition to keeping going on the ones that are in progress already):
9. brush my teeth twice a day and floss once a day for 3 months - I brush, of course, but
I'm horrible about flossing regularly
10. Get Ian to put me onto his medical plan
16. add one new album per month to my music library
23. save $1000 in an emergency fund
29. meditate for a minimum of 10 minutes at least once a week for a year
47. learn to play the harp well enough to feel comfortable playing for friends at an SCA event
49. practice the piano for a minimum of 30 minutes a day for three months straight (days spent entirely away from home excepted)
51. learn 3 different calligraphy hands well enough that I can do battle-calligraphy at events without having to refer to an exemplar
53. make 5 new pieces of jewelry for my collection
71. call my grandparents once a week for 3 months
101. get 10 pictures of friends and family and frame them and put them up around the house -
(picking up a pic I sent for printing tonight)
