at least the week's half over

Has Mercury gone direct yet? Sheesh. I've been having mildly bad luck lately - nothing major, life threatening or with long-term repercussions, just annoying. I forgot my keys at work AGAIN yesterday. Fortunately, I realized it when I was about 5 blocks from work, so I was able to ring the bell, get off the bus and head back right away. Unfortunately my boss had already left for the day. The other lawyer was still in the office, but he was with clients and the door was locked, so I ended up sitting in the hall until 5:35 waiting to get back into the office. Though I suppose that's better than wasting a bunch of money on cab fare down to Ian's work and back.

Then this morning, the bus doors shut on me as I was trying to get off the bus (almost caught me in the door too!) I pressed on the door to try and get it to open again, and it wouldn't. I ran up to the front and said something to the driver, and she was really snotty about it, and refused to let me off and made me wait til the next stop. As a result, I was late for work, because I take the 99 B-line express bus to work, and it stops less frequently, so I had to go quite a ways to the next stop and then back again. Grr. I'm ready to report the driver to Translink.

But on the plus side, I am wearing my favorite skirt today, plus a pretty shirt and sandals; I actually remembered to put jewelry on this morning (amber earrings plus my hummingbird necklace made by alicia_stardust) and I'm wearing BPAL's Shub Niggurath, so I smell awesome. And I have all-you-can-eat sushi with a friend to look forward this evening.
