Jul. 12th, 2009 01:16 pmCripes it's hot in my house. It doesn't look like THAT warm of a day out, but all the doors and windows are shut because my landlord is doing major yard work and making a ton of noise and I couldn't stand listening to it anymore. On top of that, he woke me up at like 8am this morning by knocking on the door to my bedroom to tell me to turn the fan off in the bathroom. I mean... WTF? It's humidity triggered, so it's been going because it's humid in there. Piss off, asshole.
They rototilled the yard yesteday, and today they're ripping down all the plants on the side of the house. I really don't get them. There used to be lush greenery that blossomed really prettily every spring outside my kitchen window. Now? Nothing, and then a view of the wooden fence they put up. They're such boring surburbanites, I swear. Ah well, less than 2 weeks left til the move!
Anyways, I got a bunch more packing done yesterday, and then took Ian out for his birthday dinner at Maenam. I remembered my small camera, and took pics for the food and cooking weblog Ian and I are going to be starting after the move. The food was excellent, with the exception of the duck curry, which was quite tough. Even Ian, who really likes duck, wasn't impressed with that. The sauce on it was lovely though. We'll definitely go back sometime. After dinner, we went for dessert and drinks at Cafe Crepe and then came back to my place, though Ian left just before midnight because he wanted to get more packing done today.
Tonight we'll be meeting up with his family for the family version of his birthday dinner at the Keg Steakhouse, which is always very yummy.
Off to do some more packing... not too much left in the bedroom, yay!
