I was short on my hours last week by 1 3/4 hours, so I'm making them up this week. But I hate leaving work at quarter past or quarter to the hour, because it doesn't line up with the bus very well, so I end up spending more time than I'd like sitting and waiting for it at the station. But I've learned that the 6:33 bus from my house gets me to work at 6:45, so I did that this morning instead. I've already done 1 hour of the makeup time this week, so getting here at 6:45 this morning means I can leave at 1:30 today, work my usual 8-2 tomorrow, and be done with it.
But! The new Waves downstairs means I have yummy, yummy coffee to wake me up. Yes, I have actually started drinking coffee. Ian's really rubbing off on me. Of course, I've been drinking lattes, which aren't exactly the best for me, but I figure it was a good way to ease myself into drinking coffee products without going straight to the dark roast stuff Ian likes.
As much as I complain about how early I'm at work, once the move is done (and I am a 5 minute walk from work and don't have to take any form of transit to get here), I can easily see myself coming in even earlier. It will be like... "oh, it's 6:30, I'm ready for work, might as well go in" or something like that. And the earlier I go in, the earlier I get to go home, and since Ian will be leaving for work at 2:30 from our new place, if I get home between 12 and 1, it means we can actually spend some time together during the day.
I spent more time than I should have yesterday surfing Etsy for jewelry making supplies. There's some damned gorgeous gemstones available on there for really decent prices. I almost ordered a couple to make pendants for myself, but I'm nervous with shipping since the move is so close, so I stopped myself from hitting that order button and told myself I had to wait until the move was done. I've also been having major itchies to sit own with wool and yarn and beads and thread and make pretty things, but of course almost everything's packed. Another "once the move is done" thing, I guess.
