Friday randomness
Mar. 26th, 2010 01:39 pmTGIF, yay! So far today is off to a great start, and I intend to keep it going that way.
So Ian got accepted to the late-night raiding guild on Proudmoore, though he hasn't transferred over yet as they're still recruiting a few more people before they actually get going with 25-man raiding. But since he had accepted the invite, I started looking for a guild there. It turned out that there was a guild with absolutely PERFECT raid hours for me, so I decided to give them a shot. I made a deathknight over there and joined them to get a feel for the guild, and they seemed like a decent environment, so yesterday I transferred over my druid to play with them. They didn't need anymore priests, but were so excited at the possibility of a resto druid that they didn't even care that my gear wasn't up to their level. Apparently druid is the one class they haven't been able to get. Ah well, means more gear for me! :)
Anyhow, their raid hours are 6:30 to 9pm Pacific, Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. In other words, MAJOR score for me. I can go to every archery practice/Reik Felag meeting on Mondays (and once archery practice moves to Burnaby, I can do both - I'll head to practice at 5pm-ish, and then just head almost across the street for RF at 7:30); I can make it to all the Bransles on Fridays, and I can make it to every SCA event I want to. And they're aware that I have to miss one Thursday a month for Baronial Council, and that's fine. I'm very excited.
I raided with them last night, but since I was done at 9pm, that gave me time to relax with a cup of tea and STILL get to bed for 10pm. AWESOME.
I slept for 9 hours last night, and finally feel like I might be caught up. I plan to keep it that way too.
This afternoon, I'm off to Abbotsford for a quick trip to Fibres West. I mostly want to look at the vendors for new and interesting stuff. Hopefully there will be some animals there I can pet too. They used to do that when it was FibreFest International - they'd have sheep, llamas and alpacas right in the building.
And I'm itching to get some painting time in this weekend. I finally picked up some pigma pens and other stuff this week, so that poor
melspeth doesn't have to do my relining for me. The plan is, I'm going to make the bf help me clean up tomorrow, and then we can have some relax time on Sunday. I think he wants to raid with Ominous on Sunday too.
