My questions from [livejournal.com profile] ooo_shiiiny:

1. Why a legal assistant? (That IS your title, right?)
Yeah, that works as my title. Assistant, secretary, whatever. LOL.

Years ago, I was having difficulty finding permanent work, because I was just doing generic office stuff, and had no formal training, etc. I wanted to go back to school, but didn't know what to take. I fluked into a temp assignment at the Department of Justice working as a legal assistant, and decided I enjoyed it. I looked into things, and it turned out that EI would pay for me to go back to school for the legal assistant program, because it was close enough to what I'd been doing before. So I did, and that's what I've been doing ever since.

2. What language do you want to learn?
I guess all of them isn't a valid answer, right? If not, then Irish Gaelic.

3. Is your maine coon-y type kitten as evil as my maine coon-y type kitten? 'Cause mine's a jurkfase. An adorable, manipulative, busybody, sweet jurkfase.
Yeah, he's an evil little shithead. I'm pretty sure yours has more maine coon in him than mine does, but still. Onyx needs to learn to not jump on my tummy when I'm asleep!

4. Why a raven as your totemic (?) animal?
I was looking for a surname for my SCA persona, and the raven picked me. :) And I really like the symbolism behind it. From this page: If a raven totem has come into our life, magic is at play. Raven activates the energy of magic and links it to our will and intention. With this totem, we can make great changes in our life; the ability to take the unformed thought and make it reality. The raven shows us how to go into the dark of our inner self and bring out the light of our true self; resolving inner conflicts which have long been buried. This is the deepest power of healing we can possess.

This page has some good info too: raven

5. What drew you to bead making?
I feel silly saying this, but y'know... I can't remember. I mean, ok, it's a craft, and if I see an interesting craft I immediately want to try it, but I honestly can't remember where I saw it the first time. All I remember is that I found out about the existence of lampworking somehow, and I immediately became obsessed with the idea of it. I spent hours reading about it on the internet and trying to figure out how to afford the supplies. Then I took my first level 1 course (which was only $40 for a 3 hour class at the time) and fell in love with it. So then I was even more obsessed with trying to get the stuff to do it. Eventually my grandparents gave me a gift of a chunk of money, and I spent some of it on the startup kit. I've been doing it off and on since then, and that was probably 3-4 years ago now.
