I just got back a short while ago from a refresher class on lampworking. When I set up my torch again last week, my beads were pretty crappy and I was at a bit of a loss as to what I was doing wrong. I had a look on Sunlight's website, and by total fluke, there was a session this weekend, and I lucked out and when I phoned, there was room left in it. Once I watched Tamara make a single bead, I knew what I was doing wrong, and my first bead at the class turned out great. I managed to make 12 or 13 beads while I was there, picked up some new fiber blanket, some silver wire to play with, and a book - Beads of Glass. The pictures in the book have me REALLY inspired and I can hardly wait to get back to my torch.
But now, I am doing housework.I MUST find my work keys today, or I can't get into the office tomorrow until my boss gets there, and I really want to start at 7 or 8 tomorrow morning, not the 9 or 9:30 that he'll be arriving. So that's first, and then beads. The keys have been FOUND. Thank goddess, they were somewhere easily found, just hidden behind something. I'm so glad I didn't have to start digging through boxes and bags and goodness knows what else.
But now, I am doing housework.
