Things are definitely starting to look up, work-wise. I had an interview on Thursday, another yesterday that went REALLY well, and my day started off today with a call for another one which is now scheduled for Friday morning. And Friday's interview is with ICBC! (For non-locals, that's the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, ie. the only place we can get our basic car insurance from in this province. You can buy extended coverage through other places, but your basic has to come from ICBC. Therefore they deal with a lot of legal claims for personal injury, and that sort of thing.) *squeeeeeeee*
I also just got a request by email from the lawyer I interviewed with yesterday, asking for my references. This is both good and bad. Good because it means I'm definitely in the running for the job, bad because my references situation still isn't the best. But at least I now have the place I've been temping at for the last 3 months to use as a reference. I've also started trying to get ahold of another lawyer I worked for in the past, but she's on maternity leave right now. But I left a message with the firm she's currently employed with asking her to contact me, and they're going to forward it on to her. Hopefully she'll respond.
And since starting writing this, I've gotten ANOTHER interview! I saw a posting on Craigslist this morning that could've just said "looking for a Karla", that's how perfectly it matched what I do. It took a big whole 16 minutes from me sending off my resume to getting a response and being asked to come in for an interview. That's tomorrow at 6:30.

If this keeps up, I'm not going to be unemployed for much longer!
