steampunk kitty
May. 7th, 2010 12:24 pmFriday! Yay! Huzzah!
Yep, I'm in a really good mood today. It's gorgeously sunny outside, and I am very much looking forward to heading home this afternoon, opening up all the blinds to let the sun in, and opening the doors and windows to let the fresh air in. I'm planning to get a head start on the housework and laundry, so that when Ian's home tomorrow and Sunday, the superficial stuff will be done, and I can get his help with other things, like taking all the recycling back, and moving the heavy boxes of stuff in the den so I can start organizing it all.
I want to remove everything from the desk, as well, wipe down the walls, clean the den window, vacuum the crap out of the area under the desk, and then put it all back together all nice and organized-like.
All of this, combined with the fact that we're getting our carpets cleaned on Monday and today's the last day of window washing at our building, should make for a sparkling clean house. My office is still nice and clean and organized too, and I've been enjoying the effect it's had on my productivity this week (which is WAY up).
Sometimes I think I should've been born in the early fall, so I would've been a Virgo instead of a Taurus. :)
Once this stuff is done, I have copious amounts of lampworking to do. I have a couple different projects that I really need to get going on - especially the 55 more beads that need to be done by the beginning of June for the Dirty Dozen Largesse competition.
I haven't taken any pictures of my recent lampworking, so instead, here... have a slightly steampunky kitty picture instead. You can see all my glass rods for lampworking on the right if you look closely. I took this with the Hipstamatic app on my iPhone, which is why it's all sepia toned (which is why I said it's slightly steampunky).
