this is it, damnit
Feb. 3rd, 2010 08:44 amWelp, last night I went and signed up for Weight Watchers again... and this is going to be the last time, dammit!
We went and visited my family last weekend, and my dad is probably down about 50 or 60 pounds, and I believe he's about 30 pounds from his goal weight. He's doing it via South Beach, and he has it rather easy, whether he realizes it or not - he never cooks, and my mom just cooks healthy and puts the plate in front of him and that's all he eats. He looks like somebody poked his belly with a pin and let all the air out of him. Unfortunately, it also means he's really showing his age now that he doesn't have the extra weight to fill out his wrinkles. But I'm sure he doesn't care, if it means he lives that much longer for being healthy.
My mom (who was tiny to begin with) has lost the 10 pounds she claims she had extra on her as well. She now wears a size 2 instead of a 4. *eyeroll*
I had been planning to sign up with WW anyways, but after seeing my dad... I'm even more inspired. It's time to get this extra weight off and get healthy, and woe betide anyone who tries to get in my way.
I've told Ian he's off the hook for the next 2 years or so til the weight is gone, because I don't want to get married in a plus-sized dress. After the weight's gone, if there isn't a ring on my finger by that point, he's in big trouble! (Yes, I'm joking. Mostly. Heh.)
