I am so horrible at actually posting on the weekends. Heh. So let's just finish this up right now.

Day Nine: Two things for which you're proud of yourself.

1. Going back to school at 27, going through a massive, nasty breakup in the middle of the program, and still managing to finish with good grades.

2. I was trying to avoid this, but I can't think of anything else, so...making it through disaster after disaster without succumbing to my depression and taking my own life, and somehow managing to come out of it all with a pretty decent life. I guess that's why an online friend of mine called me "resilient" this past winter. Then again, I have many good friends to thank for this, especially [livejournal.com profile] melspeth, [livejournal.com profile] wulfstan and Ian.

Day Ten: One secret plan.

If I told you, it wouldn't be a secret plan anymore, now would it?

Seriously though, I actually can't think of anything. I'm bad at keeping my own secrets. Other people's secrets are safe with me, but my own? Forget it. Everybody ends up hearing about everything fairly quickly. LOL.

Ok, here's your chance... if you don't want to hear about wedding planning, answer the survey below and I'll filter you out. It may be 17 months away yet, but I'm a planner and listmaker extraordinaire, so you can be guaranteed I'll be doing plenty of babbling about it on here. If no one says they want off the filter, though, I'll just post the entries normally.

We've picked a date! October 13, 2012 it is.

I just had to check back and see if I made a post about this already, but apparently I had just started writing it in my head, and never did post. I actually do that quite often. I'm a dork.

Anyways, I am seriously counting down the days this week. Getting used to being paid on an every-two-weeks schedule instead of twice a month has taken some real getting used to. But June is going to be my first occurrence of the 3 paycheque month that people on a biweekly schedule have occur twice a year, and that is going to help me SOOOOOO much. By the end of July (since the extra funds will be spread out over two months because of the way my bills land) my intent is to have my credit card completely paid off (won't be hard, it doesn't have much of a limit) and have things normalized so that I have a bit of padding in my bank account and all my big bills don't come out of the same paycheque every month. Since I got this job, it's been happening that rent, my car payment and car insurance all come out of the same cheque, and add up to $40 less than my take-home pay. Ouch.

This week is going to be interesting for a few other reasons too. The Tir Righ Summer Weight-loss Challenge starts on wednesday, and I'm participating this time around. I'm going to be using this book to help me along with it, which should severely increase my chances of sticking to the darn thing.

I'm also going to start swimming this week. I'm going to start at the Canada Games Pool, but once it's warm enough to swim in an outdoor pool, I'm going to switch to the pool at Moody Park, since it's 1/3 of the price. I had intended to start a week and a half ago, but I couldn't find my goggles, and by the time I had found them, I couldn't go because of um, girly issues, let's just say. Heh. But now I have my goggles and don't have that issue anymore, so it's time to get active!

Saturday is the Heather Dale/[livejournal.com profile] s00j concert, and I'm looking forward to it so much it's not funny. Saturday is also Lionsdale Champions Tourney, and I'm probably going to go for a few hours, mostly to scope out the possibility of using Don's farm/converted barn as a wedding venue.

The weekend after that is our trip to the island to see my family and I'm actually quite looking forward to that too.
