my latest batch of beads

I swear I learn something new with every night I spend at my torch. Tonight, I played with a tiny portion of the five pounds of glass I picked up on Friday.

I was thrilled to discover, when I went out to Sunlight that they had expanded their lampworking section by a few times over from the last time I bought glass. Their selection of pre-made stringer was amazing. I am using a fair bit of the stringer, too, that I suspect I will run out of stringer before I run out of the large rods. Fortunately, the stringer is pretty darn inexpensive.

I told you I was going to get some black and yellow! :) That 3rd bead from the top is actually more of a golden yellow, not orange. I have a lemon yellow as well, but it turns out kind of neon once it's been through the flame and I don't really like it.

Me too. It's the start of a blue and white set to be gifted to a Prince and Princess at some undetermined point in the future. :)
